To save a website as a PDF, click the Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 3.41.50 PM.png in the upper- righthand corner of Google Chrome. Then, from there, click print. For the printer, click change and then select “save as PDF.” When you save the PDF file, select the PDF file, select the Desktop as the location you save it to so it will be easier to find later on.

       Open the PDF by leaving Google Chrome and double-clicking on the file. It will open in a program called Preview. Then click the toolbox on the menu bar to show the markup toolbox.

The markup toolbox can be used to add notes, text boxes, highlights, shapes, and more.

Adding notes

If the edit bar is not visible, click the Edit Toolbar button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.09.50 PM.png, then do any of the following:

Add a note: Click the note button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.03.14 PM.png, then type text. If you would like to change the text color, control-click the the note, then choose a color.

You can drag the note to a different location.

Edit a note’s text: Double-click a note to view it, then type a new text.

Remove a note: Select the note and then press delete.

Adding a text box

If the Edit Toolbar is not showing, click the Edit Toolbar button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.09.50 PM.png , then do any of the following:

Add a text box: Click the Text button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.19 PM.png and then type in the text box.
Change text color or font: Select text, click the Text Style button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.43 PM.png , then modify the text using the tools.

Add a speech bubble: Choose tools > Annotate > Speech Bubble

Remove a text box: Select the text so resize handles appear and then press delete.

Highlight, strikethrough text, or underline

Click the down arrow next to the Markup button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.01.44 PM.png and choose a highlight color, underline, or strikethrough. Then select text.

Remove markup: Select the text again using the same markup tool with the same color. You could also Control-click the marked up text, then choose Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.01.50 PM.png.

Add shapes

Add a shape: Click the shapes button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.37 PM.png and then select a shape.

Add text to shape: Select the shape, then type text. To add text to a shape you sketched, use the text tool Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.19 PM.png . To change the font or font style, click the Text style button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.43 PM.png.

Resize a shape: Select the shape and then drag one of the blue handles.

Change a shape’s color: Select the shape, click the Border Color button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.26 PM.png , then choose a color.

Change a shape’s style: Select the shape, click the Shape Style button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.03.02 PM.png and then choose style.

Fill a shape with color: Select the shape, click the Color Fill button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.32 PM.png and then choose a color.

Delete a shape: Select the shape so resize handles appear and then press delete.

Highlight and area: Click the Shapes button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.37 PM.png, choose the Mask tool Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.03.08 PM.png, then drag the highlight where you want it. To resize it, use the blue handles.

Sketch a shape: Click the Sketch button Screen Shot 2017-04-02 at 4.02.49 PM.png and draw a shape using a single stroke. After you finish drawing, if your shape is recognized as one of the standard shapes, it is automatically replaced by that shape.
