What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital Citizenship is understanding the rights and responsibilities that come with being online and being positive. It also means the norms of appropriate, responsible technology use, which leads to being safe online.
What is the importance of Digital Citizenship?
The Digital Citizenship is important because it teaches kids to collaborate, post, and communicate with friends using their technologies being safe at the same time. If you aren’t cautious about what you post online it’ll backfire on you and people will use it against you, which can be very dangerous putting you at risk.
How can you avoid putting yourself at risk online?
In order to not put yourself at risk don’t meet up with you met online. I mentioned in my infographic the importance of never meeting with any of your online friends because you never know if they are who they claim to be. If you even think about meeting with them make sure you talk to your parents about it. Furthermore, don’t give out your password cause there might be a chance you might not get your account back. In my PSA, I made a video about the importance of not giving out your password even to your friends because they’re capable of posting and taking over your account. Leading to people posting whatever they want. All in all, be cautious in what you say and post because it can never be deleted or taken back.
